Industrial hardcore enthusiasts loved these tracks when they came out in the late 90s and early 00s. Since then, they’re either hard to find or too expensive to be within everyone’s reach. Apocalyptic and cathartic sounds should be for everyone, and the last dance (“dernière danse” in French) of these four classic tracks honors this mindset.
No nostalgia here, “An Old Dream”, “The Blood Line”, “Dark Ages (Manu le Malin remix)” and “Ghost Train (Vitalic remix)” were all transformed by Scan X and Deathmachine, adding modernity, depth and momentum to the old school gears. Making sure the result sounds current was indeed his number one condition before agreeing to release again these tracks that made him proud 25 years ago. In close collaboration with Manu, Scan X used his renowned mastering skills to polish the sonorities without erasing the griminess that added to the charm of the original releases, while Deathmachine affixed his science of hardcore aesthetics.
Four tracks redesigned to ravage dancefloors for one last lap, followed by an equally explosive Part II, to celebrate the birth of MKNK Music. Manu le Malin’s first label in 20 years will then start its mission: being a home for young hardcore artists he loves and wants to shine a light on.
